Dr Amir Afkhami is a psychiatry, global health, & history professor at George Washington University. He is also a lecturer at the Department of Defense’s Joint Counterintelligence Training Academy (JCITA).
He has published extensively in both professional journals and mainstream media including award-winning articles in the New York Times, International Herald Tribune, and Foreign Affairs. He also has a new book called, A Modern Contagion: Imperialism and Public Health in Iran’s Age of Cholera.
