Peter Van Buren is a whistleblower, former United States Foreign Service employee, spent 24 years with the U.S. Department of State, author of Ghosts of Tom Joad: A Story of the 99 Percent, We Meant Well: How I Helped Lose the Battle for the Hearts and Minds of the Iraqi People, and his most recent book Hooper’s War, an anti-war novel.
